A regional healthcare provider in Liverpool is looking for a full-time Portering Supervisor. The role involves supervising a team, ensuring high productivity, and providing excellent customer service within a hospital environment. Candidates must have prior portering experience and some supervisory skills. Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are essential. This position requires working a four-week rota including nights and weekends.

We are looking to recruit a full-time experienced Portering Supervisor to work a four-week rota including nights and weekends.
You will be responsible for supporting service improvements and encouraging the delivery of high productivity, supported by excellent customer care.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and under direction, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times. The ability to prioritise your workload, multi-task, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally are essential.
In this role, you will be required to provide a customer-focused Porter service.

Some supervisory experience is also essential for this role.
The Porter Supervisor plays a key role in the smooth operation of the hospital by working with the portering team and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and promptly.
You will supervise a team of porters and be responsible for allocating daily tasks. The role requires being supportive to your team and interacting well with patients and other supervisors.
You will need to input data into spreadsheets, use email and hospital systems.
You will also move patients, deliver patient meals, and manage the safe movement of medical equipment.
Porters should be able to work quickly and calmly in emergencies, have good interpersonal skills, listen and empathise, be patient and tolerant, physically fit, and able to follow instructions and work under tight deadlines.
