Woking Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part Time

Up to £13.50 per hour depending on experience

As a Porter at our Woking Hospital, you’ll need to be a good communicator, as this role involves helping our patients to feel relaxed and reassured, before and after surgery. It’s also essential that you’re happy to undergo our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, as part of your application.

As a Porter (Theatres), you will:

1. Be part of a close-knit professional team.
2. Collect and return patients to their individual rooms, before and after surgery.
3. Work with your colleagues to ensure that the theatre environment and its equipment are fully functioning.
4. Help with the cleaning of the theatre environment and equipment.
5. Work in a fast-moving clinical environment.
6. Maintain constant and effective interaction with our theatre team.

Our specialities include Women’s and Men’s health, Orthopaedics, and Eye Care with many more available. We are registered for 27 beds with en-suite facilities on the Ward, two Theatres with facilities including lamina flow and one Minor Operating Theatre, Pre-Assessment, Physiotherapy clinic, Onsite Pharmacy, Mammography, Xray and Ultrasound, with nine consulting rooms in Outpatients.
