Job description

We're looking for a Porter/Security Team Leader to join our team based in Huntington, Cambridge.

Location: Hinchingbrooke Treatment Centre - Huntington, Cambridge.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, on a shift rota basis (06:45 to 15:15 and 12:00 to 20:30) Monday to Friday.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Porter/Security Team Leader, you'll be the main point of contact for porter/security services at Hinchingbrooke Treatment Centre, serving Customers, Staff, and Patients.

Your Day To Day Will Include

  • Providing day-to-day running of the portering and security services,
  • Delivering high-quality portering and security services to all wards and departments by supervising and allocating jobs to staff on duty,
  • Carrying out CCTV operational checks, including recording activities,
  • Providing reports when required.

What are we looking for?

This role is suitable if you have:

  • Previous experience leading a team of Porters/Security staff, managing a rota system, and prioritising department workload,
  • An awareness of Trust policies and guidelines,
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations with the ability to identify hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks,
  • The ability to show respect and compassion when dealing with sensitive situations,
  • Excellent communication skills.
