Job Overview

  • Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: £ 25,530 Location: Wymondham
  • You must have a driver's licence.

Main Duties

  • In your new role as a Porter/Handyman, you will assist with the delivery and physical set-up/ taking down of all furniture and equipment for all events and office moves.
  • You will assist in keeping the site clean and tidy. You will assist with the collection and delivery of waste, goods and items from offices and the post room.
  • You will ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, stored and disposed in line with the site and collection contractor requirements.
  • You will assist in using various cleaning equipment to clean specialist buildings.
  • You will be required to complete basic maintenance tasks.
  • You will observe local security measures in line with client policies, you will take a keen and active part in all training and staff development provided by company and/or client, you will attend team meetings and/or meetings as requested by others within the management team and/or the client, you will be flexible in approach to work patterns, systems and location to maintain the standards required by the Client.
  • You will adhere to any reasonable management requests from line manager or client contact. Please note that you will need to be a British National or naturalised to a UK Citizen. You should not have any previous convictions, and you should be willing undertake an intrusive clearance process.

  • You will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar role or environment.
  • You will be experienced in lifting and handling furniture and equipment. You will be customer service orientated and be a team player.
  • With an energized attitude you will be a strong communicator and always well groomed.
  • You must be willing to go through the police clearance process. You must be hands on and willing to learn new tasks.
  • You must preferably have a driver's licence.
