Contract: Healthcare

Location: Halifax, HX3 0PW

Hours of work: 37.5

Working Pattern: Various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (6 months)

Hourly Rate: £12.21

Our Porters play a key role in the site's operations, ensuring they are always running smoothly ensuring an excellent standard of cleanliness and safety.

As part of the team, you will actively contribute to enhancing the quality and efficiency of the portering service by carrying out a wide range of duties across both patient and non-patient areas.

Under the guidance of your Supervisor, you'll ensure all tasks are completed in line with strict health, safety, security, and infection control procedures.

This role can involve working in sensitive environments, so professionalism, discretion, and compassion are essential.

The Role

Transport pharmacy boxes, specimens, blood products, post, and medical records

Handle clinical and non-clinical waste following proper procedures

Move medical equipment, supplies, furniture, and linen as required

Deliver and collect food and other essential items across the site

Assist in the safe transfer and escorting of patients in line with Trust policy

Integrate into a team, supporting with all aspects of the working environment

Work to a high standard of general hygiene, maintaining the cleanliness of the site to comply with company and statutory regulations

Keep in line with our standards of accuracy

About You

Full Driving Licence is essential
