Main duties of the job

To provide a high-quality Porter Driver Service, maintaining a continuous service that ensures a positive service user experience and reflects the values of the organization.

To work as part of the Porter Driver team within the Hotel Services Team.

Role Purpose

To assist in providing a high-quality service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for performing general portering duties on wards and around the clinic, including serving food to wards and other sites like Newbridge, daily rubbish collections, clinical waste, pharmacy deliveries, linen, and postal services. Also, ad hoc duties as required.

Communication

The post holder must ensure effective communication with the multidisciplinary team, colleagues, and service users regarding current work progress.

Operational/Technical Activities

Responsible for personal development, training, maintaining confidentiality, professional conduct, understanding policies, and contributing to organizational aims. Also, undertake ad hoc duties as required, including delivery and collection of pharmacy items, food, linen, rubbish, and equipment, and ensuring safety and security of vehicles and supplies.
