Job description

This is a full-time role with shift patterns between 6am-2pm and 9am-5pm, Monday to Saturday, working alternative weekends.

We have an opportunity for a hardworking and caring individual to join the dedicated team of porters/cleaners and the Domestic Team at Littlemore Mental Health Centre.

We're seeking flexible, good team players with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and previous experience in moving and handling.

Applicants must have a full valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work. Adjustments can be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010 where required.

  • Receive and check food deliveries, verify temperatures, and report discrepancies following food hygiene regulations.
  • Deliver meals from the kitchen to ward areas.
  • Assist with patient movement within the hospital as needed.
  • Collect pharmacy boxes and pathological specimens.
  • Collect and distribute linen, including weekends and holidays.
  • Collect refuse and waste, ensuring bins in public areas are emptied regularly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and security of stores and medical gas areas, and deliver medical gases as needed.
  • Accept deliveries, assist with unloading, transfer supplies to departments, and distribute general supplies.
