Porter- Catering Assistant - England

Job Description

Join our team in Scarborough, United Kingdom, as a Porter/Catering Assistant for a part-time, term-time position. We're looking for an efficient and customer-focused individual to support our catering operations on Friday- Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. 10.30 - 19.00 rate of pay 12.21 per hour

• Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene
• Serve meals and refreshments to students, staff, and visitors
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, dining rooms, and equipment
• Transport food, supplies, and equipment between kitchen and service areas
• Operate basic kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Support catering events and special functions as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, supportive attitude
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
