Qualifications

• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent.
• Proficient in the use of a PC.
• Previous portering experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting preferred.

Duties of this role include:

• Providing porter services that underpin clinical and non-clinical services, ensuring effective and efficient support for the hospital. Delivering high levels of service excellence to patients and departments daily.
• Responding positively to the operational needs of the hospital, with deployment across various facilities and areas as required. Varying shifts and routines are integral to this role.
• Performing general and ad hoc tasks such as patient, equipment, and goods movement (e.g., pharmacy goods).
• Explaining hospital facilities and services to patients and family members during escort duties.
