Job summary

A facilities management company in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated individual for physical tasks such as setting up furniture for events and maintaining site cleanliness. Overview

Contract Type: Permanent; Type of Employment: Full Time; Hours: 40 Per Week; Salary: £24,000-£25,000

Responsibilities
  • The delivery and physical set-up/taking down of all furniture and equipment for meetings & events where necessary
  • Adjusting meeting rooms and furniture layouts to suit user requirements
  • To undertake duties allocated through the helpdesk in a timely manner
  • Assist in keeping the site clean and tidy, ensuring that the exterior of the buildings is kept clean and pathways are kept tidy and clear
  • Receiving deliveries of heavy/large loads as required, distributing items as necessary
  • Complete basic maintenance tasks across the site, including but not limited to minor repairs, minor plumbing, painting & decorating
  • Observe local security measures in line with client policies; be flexible in approach to work patterns, systems and location to maintain the standards required by the Client
  • Complete Safety Walks and report any concerns to the Facilities Manager
  • Be proactive in carrying out duties and highlight areas for improvement to the Facilities Manager
  • Adhere to any reasonable management requests from line manager or client contact
Qualifications & Requirements
  • You will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar role or environment
  • You will be experienced in lifting and handling furniture and equipment; be customer service oriented and a team player
  • With an energized attitude you will be a strong communicator and always well groomed
  • You must be hands on and willing to learn new tasks
  • Please note: You will need to be a British National or naturalised to a UK Citizen, should not have any previous convictions, and you should be willing to undertake an intrusive clearance process
