Job summary

We are looking to hire a Porter to work full-time 37.5 hours per week over a 24 hour 7 day week within the Portering Service at Salford Care Organisation.

You will also be required to be flexible in your working pattern as you may be required to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
  • You will be required to carry out the full range of portering duties, which would include, transfer of patients around the site by wheelchair, trolley or bed, including deceased patients and all associated mortuary duties.
  • Driving vehicles off and on site.
  • You may also be required to transfer medical notes and medical supplies around the hospital site to various wards and departments.
  • Other duties include working with the waste team and possible night porter shifts at times.
