A leading healthcare provider in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking Porters for a 12-month fixed term role at Prince Charles Hospital. Responsibilities include the collection and delivery of medical supplies, waste management, and support for cleaning services. Job summary
Two fixed term opportunities have arisen to join our busy Portering department in Prince Charles Hospital. The positions will consist of working a rota pattern of 12 hourly shift rotation & or 8hr hourly shift pattern Monday to Friday .
These posts will be fixed term for 12 months to cover service needs

Main duties of the jobPorter services comprise of operational duties associated with waste, transport, mail, support to cleaning services and general hospital porter duty functions.
The role will also contribute to the provision of healthcare for the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) by delivering a porter service which meets all organisational and legislative standards and support the Facilities Unit commitment to quality standards.
Support the Porter Services Supervisor and Porter Team Leader in supervising the provision of Porter Services delivery that is managed from a Facilities Centre based at the hospital and ensuring a high quality service is delivered to patients, staff and visitors in accordance with service specifications.
Post holder will be required to perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs and that are appropriate to the Facilities services and in line with their grade.
