Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care Services NHS Foundation Trust seeks a friendly, conscientious porter to join our Facilities Team. You will provide portering services across our community hospital, ensuring dignity and safety during transport of equipment, goods and post.

The role supports 5-shift patterns across the week in non-patient and patient areas. A flexible approach and good communication skills are essential; prior experience in a similar role is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a portering or facilities role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices is essential.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide portering services across the hospital and community sites.
  • Move, receive and deliver goods, post and equipment as required.
  • Assist with waste management and curtain-change tasks.
  • Report faults and follow safety and Estates procedures.
