Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Limited, based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, is recruiting a full-time Porter to join the portering department on a 37.5 hour week basis.

The role includes escorting patients and visitors, transporting patients around the hospital, and assisting with transfers to appointments and mortuary transfers, alongside waste management, linen handling, and collection/delivery of supplies, within an NHS context.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients and visitors.
• Transport patients within the hospital.
• Transfer patients from wards to appointments and assist with mortuary transfers.
• Clean domestic waste equipment and storage areas.
• Collect bagged soiled linen.
• Collect/distribute stores, medical gases, laundry and medical notes.
• Collect and deliver blood products from Pathology.

DSFS Ltd are looking to recruit the right candidate into the role of a full time Porter on a 37.5 hour per week contract, to work within the portering department main hospital based at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

• The escorting of patients and visitors.
• The transportation of patients by appropriate means to other areas of the hospital.
• Duties in connection with the transference of patients from the ward to appointments the transferring of deceased persons, i.e. transfers to the mortuary.
• Cleaning of domestic waste equipment and storage areas.
• Collection of bagged soiled linen.
• The collection and / or distribution of miscellaneous items, i.e. stores, medical gases, laundry, medical notes.
• The collection and delivery of blood products from Pathology.
