Porters provide support and assistance to all healthcare professionals and areas of the Trust.
The role involves working under the direction of the Portering Chargehand and covering a wide range of duties including transporting patients, specimens, beds, meal trolleys, medical gases, linen, and other essential items/supplies.
We ask all employees to be flexible in their roles to ensure we deliver safe, kind, and effective care.
Interviews will be held on 27th & 28th August 2025.
As part of ongoing organisational changes within the Facilities Department, we are recruiting enthusiastic porters to join our team.
The successful candidate will work closely with Chargehand Porters and the Assistant Facilities Manager, demonstrating excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with the public.
Candidates must be able to lift, carry, and handle, with a significant amount of walking and patient transfer involved.
Trustworthiness, reliability, and confidentiality are essential.
Applicants will receive training for all aspects of the role and will gain an understanding of all tasks involved.
