Job description

We are looking for a Porter to join our Facilities Team at Carleton Clinic, Carlisle.

This post will be offered as Full Time (37.5 hours per week), working over a 7-day rota.

Main duties of the job

Our Porters carry out a wide range of tasks which makes the job interesting and varied. No two days are the same and because we provide services to the NHS you will play a role in supporting better care.

The job includes collecting and moving items, disposing of waste, sorting and delivering post, and moving furniture. You'll need to work flexibly and think on your feet as you solve problems and issues.

You will also be responsible for driving various vehicles safely and you could be working outdoors in all weather conditions. There can be interaction with patients which requires awareness of safety and sensitivity to their needs.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys carrying out a diverse range of tasks.
