Job summary

CLdN Ports is seeking Port Operatives to join the busy terminal operations. You will drive and operate heavy plant and machinery, moor and release vessels, and support day‑to‑day terminal activities.

The role demands a proactive approach, good teamwork, and a focus on Health and Safety. Flexibility to cover shifts and other UK/European ports is required.

Qualifications

• Experience driving large vehicles and operating heavy plant is advantageous.
• Pro‑active approach and knowledge of Health and Safety.
• Good IT skills for Freight Management Systems.
• Self-motivated, reliable with good timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Drive/operate heavy plant and machinery such as Tugmasters and translifters.
• Mooring and releasing vessels.
• Contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal.

CLdN Ports is looking for an additional Port Operatives to join the busy fast paced environment of Port Operations.

Your role

Drive / operate heavy plant and machinery such as Tugmasters, translifters

Mooring and releasing vessels

Any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal

Your profile

It is important that you have a good work ethic

Experience of driving large vehicles and operating heavy plant and machinery would be advantageous

It is essential you have a pro-active approach and knowledge of Health and Safety

You will have good interpersonal and communication skills

Good IT skills are desirable for use of in-house/ on-board Freight Management Systems

You must be a self-motivated individual

Good timekeeping is essential

Ability to prioritise workload whilst working to tight timescales in accordance with company policies

You must be able to work within a team.

A flexible approach to work is necessary as you will be expected to cover when required

Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal

You must also be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe
