Job Description:

Port Operative at Immingham Dock

We offer excellent opportunities for further training and career progression. Both full-time and part-time hours are available across the Humber Ports.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Pinning: Placing or removing twistlocks from container corners.
  2. Tabbing: Ensuring handles of fertilizer sacks are accessible for handling.
  3. Weighbridge: Recording truck and container weights accurately.
  4. Tallying: Monitoring containers arriving and departing.
  5. Handballing: Manual handling tasks.
  6. Plant driving: Operating machinery such as FLT, Tug, RoRo, Loading Shovel (training provided).
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Full UK driving license
  • Valid or Expired Counterbalance Forklift Truck license
  • HGV license
  • Valid or Expired Loader/Shovel license
  • Experience in port operations or similar roles is highly desirable, including roles such as stevedore, CSCS labourer, plant driver, forklift operator, crane driver, warehouse operative, or weighbridge operator.
  • Experience working with commodities like Steel, Bags, or Timber is advantageous.
Work Schedule and Benefits:

The Humber ports operate 7 days a week, providing flexible working patterns. Continuous training and skill development are offered.
