Job summary

Stena Line is seeking a Cost & Contracts Manager to shape investments across our UK & Ireland port network. Based in Birkenhead or Holyhead with travel to project sites, you’ll own commercial governance, budgets and contract management for major port development programs.

You’ll partner with project managers and senior leaders to forecast capital needs, evaluate commercial risks and drive value from capital investment decisions across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in commercial management, quantity surveying or contract administration.
• Understanding of commercial management, cost control and financial reporting in capital projects.
• Knowledge of procurement and contract management principles.
• Experience with NEC contracts, ideally NEC ECC.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret commercial and financial data.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Act as the commercial representative across port development and infrastructure projects.
• Drive capital planning, budget forecasting and investment approvals.
• Monitor project and portfolio expenditure against budgets and approvals.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and budget variances with recommendations.
• Manage commercial aspects of contracts, including change control and final accounts.
• Collaborate on procurement activities, including tender evaluations and contractor selection.
• Prepare commercial updates and reports for project steering groups and senior management.
