Job summary

University of East Anglia (UEA) Sportspark is seeking a Lifeguard/Sports Assistant to safeguard the pool and supervise both indoor and outdoor dry-side facilities, ensuring a safe and high-quality environment for guests. The role requires RLSS NPLQ and First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain within three months), competent swimming, and proven customer service experience.

Qualifications

You will have a good standard of secondary education or experience in a directly relevant role along with an RLSS NPLQ and First Aid at Work Certificate (or be able to achieve these within three months of appointment).
You must be a competent swimmer, have experience in providing customer service, be able to multi-task and have the ability to effectively follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

Lifeguard the pool and supervise and maintain the indoor and outdoor dry side facilities.
Set up, put down and maintain equipment; support reception in busy periods; undertake cleaning, maintenance and administrative duties.
