Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in pool cleaning, maintenance, and equipment installation. This role involves ensuring that residential and/or commercial pools are clean, safe, and functioning properly. The Pool Technician will work independently, utilizing hand tools and power tools to perform various maintenance tasks. Pay is based on experience. This position is seasonal (April-Oct).

Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment installation, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Work with automation systems and timers.
• Measure and install safety covers.
• Liner measurement or installation is a plus.
• Perform basic pool plumbing, electrical, and general construction tasks.
• Evaluate and repair mechanical issues with pool equipment (heaters, filters, motors, pumps, etc.).
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and educating them on pool care.
• Document service visits and maintain records of work performed on each pool using a tablet.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards in all tasks.
• Work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a service technician or in a similar pool maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and maintenance procedures.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and providing exceptional service.
• Valid and clean driver's license.
