Job summary

Active Tameside is hiring a Pool Lifeguard to keep our swimming and leisure facilities safe and welcoming. You will supervise activities, respond to emergencies, and promote a clean, secure environment for all visitors.

Applicants must hold a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard (NPLQ) certification, be aged 18 or over, and provide an in-date DBS check. External candidates may need a competency assessment; we support training and progression opportunities.

As a Pool Lifeguard you will ensure the safety of all individuals using the swimming and leisure facilities by supervising activities, responding to emergencies, and promoting a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

In accordance with working time regulations, applicants must be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role.

All external candidates are required to provide a copy of their current, in-date NPLQ certificate.

You will need a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification to apply. If you are not currently an employee of Active Tameside, you will be required to undertake a competency assessment.
