Polymer Chemist

Location: Teesside, North East of England

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

CY Partners is excited to be working with a leading company in the chemical sector, seeking a Permanent Polymer Chemist to join their innovative team in Teesside. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong chemistry background to contribute to the development of products tailored for plastics, polymers, and paper applications. You will play a crucial role in driving product performance and application solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Synthesis and evaluate new pigments at the laboratory scale to support product development programmes.
  • Design, plan and carry out novel and specialised experimental work to expand the companies technology base.
  • Develop and evaluate novel product design technologies for the plastic and paper markets.
  • Provide technical assistance, training and problem solving, in existing and new areas of study.
  • Improve and develop new applications testing and synthesis methods.

Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the use of plastic technology, coatings, inks, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of polymers and their applications in various substrates.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
