Job description

Join Us

At Vodafone, we’re not just shaping the future of connectivity for our customers – we’re shaping the future for everyone who joins our team. When you work with us, you’re part of a global mission to connect people, solve complex challenges, and create a sustainable and more inclusive world. If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.

What you’ll do

Vodafone is seeking a Political Strategy Analyst to join our Group Public Affairs team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with strong political instincts and a keen interest in global affairs, reputation management and strategic influence.

You will contribute to shaping Vodafone’s political positioning across our markets in Europe, Africa and Asia, while also tracking developments in influential countries such as the United States. Working at the intersection of politics, business and technology, you’ll help develop narratives and strategies that strengthen Vodafone’s role as a trusted digital partner in areas like competitiveness and security.

This role offers good development opportunities, including exposure to senior executives and directors, and the chance to work on high-impact projects. You’ll receive strong mentorship and training to support your career growth within a collaborative and high-performing team.

  • Monitor political trends and developments relevant to Vodafone’s business, compiling timely insights and maintaining structured records and briefings.
  • Contribute to external messaging, including speeches, briefings and thought leadership content to support Vodafone’s external positioning.
  • Assist with ad-hoc, often urgent tasks, supporting the team to meet business needs at short notice.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Group teams (Regulation, Public Policy, ESG, Vodafone Investments, Vodafone Business) and external affairs colleagues in local markets.
  • Engage with external influencers, such as think tanks and research institutions, to learn and to build awareness of Vodafone’s positions.
  • Support internal communication and alignment, ensuring colleagues are equipped with relevant political context and talking points.
  • Manage knowledge, ensuring effective, efficient flows of information between internal stakeholders, as well as a library for external use.
Who you are
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in a relevant field such as political consulting, journalism, government, public affairs or corporate communications, preferably with international exposure.
  • Political acumen: Strong understanding of political dynamics, stakeholder ecosystems and how public narratives are shaped.
  • Excellent communication: Able to write and speak clearly and persuasively, tailoring messages to different audiences.
  • Collaborative approach: Works well across diverse teams, with the ability to coordinate and influence without direct authority.
  • Proactivity and curiosity: A self-starter who follows political developments closely and brings new ideas to the table.
