Political Affairs Programme: Internship/Voluntary

This role focuses on making poverty a priority in U.S., Canadian, and U.K. foreign policy.

This is a part-time, unpaid, remote programme requiring 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading public and political outreach in your state and district.
  • Meeting with members of Congress or government officials in your area.
  • Representing The Borgen Project at various events.
  • Assisting with fundraising by creating personal campaigns and meeting targets.
  • Mobilising individuals to contact their government representatives in support of key legislation.
  • Speaking to groups, classes, and organizations.
  • Writing letters of support to political leaders, media, and other groups.
Experience needed:

No prior experience is required. We seek passionate individuals eager to fight poverty and advocate for change, regardless of GPA or background.

Details:

This is an unpaid programme, but college/university credit may be available.

Start Date:

Programs begin every month; you can choose your start date.

The closing date for applications is 10/06/2025.
