Job summary

NuStaff Recruitment Ltd is seeking Polish Technicians to join a leading manufacturer in Pontypool for a 6-month project. You will support the paint department, rectifying defects, polishing surfaces, and ensuring products meet high quality standards. Immediate start available.

The role requires experience in polishing or similar manufacturing work, ability to operate polishing equipment, and strong attention to detail. Shift work applies, with potential for extended project timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in polishing, paint rectification, vehicle finishing or similar manufacturing role.
• Experience using machine polishing equipment.
• Good knowledge of sanding materials and polishing processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot defects.

Responsibilities

• Rectify paint defects and imperfections on finished products.
• Use machine polishers and hand polish where needed.
• Prepare surfaces and remove contaminants.
• Inspect products against quality and aesthetic standards.
• Work with paint department to resolve finish issues.
• Complete production and quality paperwork accurately.

Job description

Hours: Rotating shifts: 6:00AM - 2:00PM and 2:00PM - 10:00PM

Pay: £30,197.44 per year (£14.52 per hour) + 15% shift allowance once shifts start

Bonus: £1000 on completion of the project, Pro Rata

Immediate start available. We're recruiting experienced Polish Technicians to join a leading manufacturing business in Pontypool. You'll support the paint department, making sure finished products meet the highest quality and aesthetic standards. This is a 6-month project running until December.

The Role:

• Rectify paint defects and imperfections on finished products
• Use machine polishers and hand polish where needed
• Prepare surfaces and remove contaminants such as inclusions and orange peel
• Inspect products against quality and aesthetic standards
• Work closely with the paint department to resolve finish issues
• Complete production and quality paperwork accurately
• Keep your area clean and follow all health and safety procedures

The Requirements:

• Previous experience in polishing, paint rectification, vehicle finishing or a similar manufacturing role
• Experience using machine polishing equipment
• Good knowledge of sanding materials and polishing processes
• Excellent attention to detail, able to spot defects and suggest fixes
• Reliable, with strong timekeeping and attendance
• Positive team player who can work to deadlines
• Able to commute reliably to Pontypool
• Experience with a leading manufacturer in a supportive team
