Policy & Public Affairs Advisor
7 Steel UK Hybrid with UK Travel

7 Steel is a steel recycling company and the largest producer of reinforcing steel in the UK. We are passionate about our people, the circular economy, and working towards a greener future via our decarbonisation pathway.

Joining us as a Policy & Public Affairs Advisor, you will play a crucial role in shaping UK steel-related policies. Your main responsibilities will include lobbying and influencing key stakeholders to advocate for policies favourable to 7 Steel, developing and delivering external communication strategies, engaging external stakeholders, and collaborating with teams across the organisation.

You will be a highly engaging communicator, able to persuade and influence stakeholders and the media. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of UK policy-making processes, ideally in matters relating to trade, procurement, and carbon. Most importantly, you should be a passionate, innovative, and high-energy individual driven to lobby for 7 Steel and our interests.

This role requires some travel across the UK, specifically London and Cardiff.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in policy advocacy, public affairs, or corporate communications.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
