Policy Officer (Procurement and Sustainability) | 8491 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £30,559 to £32,654 per annum (Scale G) | County Hall, Norwich

Join Norfolk County Council’s Procurement and Sustainability team and play a key role in advancing the Council’s ambitions on climate change, social value, and commercial capability.

This dynamic role supports the delivery of strategic policies through smarter procurement practices across £900 million of annual spending — from school construction to social care. You’ll support our work coordinating the Climate Strategy and help embed wider policy priorities in our contracts such as skills development, local economic growth, and minimising modern slavery risks.

Ideal candidates will enjoy a varied workload encompassing research, stakeholder engagement, policy writing, and supporting procurement exercises. The role provides valuable experience across public policy and commercial operations, perfect for those considering careers in procurement, supply chain management, law, climate change, economic development, or government policy.
