Location: Bristol, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Swansea (Hybrid)

Salary: £42,848 - Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%

Contract Type: Permanent, Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time

The purpose of this role is to lead and support the drafting, implementation, and review of legislation. The post holder will be required to provide advice to stakeholders, Department for Transport (DfT) officials, and lawyers, including interpreting legislation that underpins DVSA's responsibilities. The post holder will actively manage relationships within the DfT family and across Government to ensure strategic alignment of objectives to maximize benefits for all.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with Service Managers and Product Managers, liaise with DVSA Enforcement.
  • Liaise with DfT to ensure relevant regulatory clearance processes are completed and approved.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement regulatory changes efficiently, managing expectations, and providing advice to senior stakeholders and service managers.
