The General Medical Council is hiring a Policy Manager to drive public policy initiatives in medical regulation. This hybrid role demands experience in policy development and offers 30 days' holiday, flexible working, and a generous pension contribution, among other benefits.
Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity to work within the GMC as aPolicy Manager, contributing to major public policy issues and influencing the future of medical regulation.
You will need to be comfortable working with senior people and key stakeholders in an environment where there are often no ‘off the shelf’ answers. You will require enthusiasm, flexibility and initiative, and the ability to work well with others. The work is interesting, varied and fast-paced.
Experience in policy development is essential and knowledge of current healthcare policy issues would be advantageous. But more importantly, we expect a commitment to the values of an organisation that is focused on good, safe patient care across the UK.
This is a hybrid role between home working and office working, you’ll work 1 day minimum a week in the office. We may ask you to attend the office on additional days where necessary.
