Government Recruitment Service in London is seeking a Policy Adviser to join the Global, Public Health and Emergencies Group (GPHE) within the Department of Health and Social Care. You will develop policy, coordinate ministerial and parliamentary work, and collaborate across the Department, arm’s length bodies, and other government partners.

• Policy development experience and ability to translate ideas into actionable guidance.
• Strong programme and project management skills across policy initiatives.

Mansioni

• Own and coordinate complex, short notice ministerial and parliamentary commissions, working with teams across the Department, arm’s length bodies and other government departments.
• Lead parliamentary activity, including briefing notes, drafting correspondence and lines for questions, debates and official correspondence.
• Develop policy in key areas and provide advice to Ministers and senior leaders.
• Demonstrate resilience and adaptability, re-prioritising tasks to pivot to new areas of work.
• Collaborate with your team to understand policy challenges and opportunities and build cross-Department relationships.
• Support team and wider corporate engagement and develop skills across policy development, strategic oversight, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
