Job Description

Join our People team as the Policy and ER Manager (in-house Employment Solicitor). You'll manage Heathrow and Heathrow Express(HEx) employment policies, ensuring they comply with laws and business needs. You'll also review policies with trade unions and maintain all People Policies for compliance. As chair of the Policy Governance Group, you'll ensure consistent application across the business and provide guidance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Consulting with our trade unions to reach agreement on changes to policy and the introduction of new policies and assisting with Employment Tribunal work as required.
  • Ensuring that all policies are managed through relevant version control, review matrix and archiving.
  • Advising Company of any forthcoming legislation that may impact on People Policies and scheduling any required amendments.
  • Maintaining all Heathrow, HEx and Business Services contracts of employment templates.
  • Coaching and mentor managers regarding ER matters and interpretation of Policies and line management experience.
  • Colleague Relations case management responsibility and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of UK employment legislation.
  • Adept at handling consultations with trade unions.
  • Exceptional internal and external stakeholder relationship management expertise.
  • Advanced written/oral communications skills.
  • Self-starter who can work flexibly with high impact and good interpersonal skills.
  • CIPD or equivalent business working knowledge.

Working Location

Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
