Policy and Engagement Manager (18-month Maternity Cover)

Salary expectation: £35,500

This is a full-time role

The Policy and Engagement Manager is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of the Society’s growing policy and engagement programme.

This role will report to the Head of Engagement and Storytelling, with managerial responsibilities for the Policy and Engagement Officer. The Manager will lead the development and coordination of key strategic policy and engagement activities, including progressing external scientific and higher education policy for the Society and promoting the importance of engaging in policy-making to members of the Society.

Suitable candidates will have experience in developing evidence-based policy, including in research, innovation and higher education policy. They will also have excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage and build effective relationships with key stakeholders engaging in the Society’s activities.
