Job description

About the role

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our Policy and Compliance Team. In this role you will report directly to the Policy and Compliance Manager and you will play a key part in overseeing and delivering core functions related to:

  1. Information Governance
  2. Formal Complaints
  3. Freedom of Information Requests (FOIs)
  4. Subject Access Requests (SARs)
  5. Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs)

You will be responsible for maintaining the Council's Information Governance Framework, offering expert advice to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and supporting services in responding to FOIs, SARs and EIRs.

In addition you may be asked to support in investigating complaints across a wide range of service areas.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of GDPR Regulations
  • Familiarity with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004
  • Excellent Communication and Team work skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on complex statistical and performance information.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
