Our client, a well-respected and reputable membership body based in Central London, is currently looking for a Policy Advisor.
The current Government has placed planning at the heart of its growth agenda and ambitions for the country. This is an opportunity to join a successful team of policy and public affairs professionals at a critical moment for the planning profession as we systematically address the climate, nature, and housing emergencies whilst kick-starting the economy. This role will support the Institute’s policy development programme throughout the next 18 months, responding to the fast-paced and wide-ranging planning reform agenda.
We represent over 27,000 members worldwide, supporting them throughout their careers. We shape policy and raise professional standards.
This is an 18-month fixed-term contract, full-time, 35 hours per week.
The Membership Institution works closely with the UK Government, influencing policy, legislation, and priorities for the built environment. This role will work closely with the Director of External Affairs and the Head of Policy and Public Affairs to ensure we have a robust and innovative policy development programme.
We are looking for an ambitious policy professional with a desire to help shape the role and raise the profile of the Institute among decision-makers and policy-influencers. You will have a good working knowledge of planning policy and the built environment and experience analysing public policy issues.
