A leading police organization is looking for a compassionate individual to join the Domestic Abuse Video Response Team. The successful candidate will utilize video calls to engage with victims, record offenses, and provide necessary support while adhering to legal standards. This role offers the chance to contribute to victim safety and effective crime investigation. Applicants should have experience in dealing with difficult situations, excellent communication skills, and a background in similar disciplines.
The Domestic Abuse Video Response Team sends victims of domestic abuse a video link to immediately connect them to a uniformed officer or support investigator to deal with their matter in place of waiting for an officer’s physical attendance.
The successful applicant will engage with victims over video calls, recording offences and updating crime reports, provide safeguarding advice and support to victims to ensure both their initial and ongoing safety, complete any required referrals and participate in internal/external multi-agency meetings to lawfully share information to protect vulnerable victims and achieve best outcomes.

In addition, a background in any related discipline i.e. victims of child protection, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, or with vulnerable adults in a multi-agency environment and applicants who are ABE trainedwould be beneficial.

Hours of work are 37 per week on a rotational shift pattern operating between the hours of 0800-2200 Monday – Sunday, although part-time hours will also be considered. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
