We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Police Station Representative to join a reputable criminal law firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and challenging cases, supporting clients through critical stages of the criminal justice process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling a variety of police station matters, providing effective legal representation and advice.
  • Preparing magistrates’ court casework, ensuring all documentation and procedures are in line with legal requirements.
  • Conducting client appointments to take detailed instructions, ensuring clients are fully informed and supported throughout their cases.
  • Critically reviewing evidence to assess the strengths and weaknesses of cases, advising on appropriate next steps.
  • Providing comprehensive support for crown court cases as a clerk, assisting with case preparation and documentation.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in handling police station matters and supporting clients during police interviews.
  • Experience in preparing and managing casework for magistrates’ court.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to take clear, concise instructions.
  • Ability to review and critically analysecase evidence.
  • Experience supporting crown court cases and preparing related documentation is highly desirable.
