Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 2 – HC619094

Contract: Temporary (Fixed Term Contract)

Hours: Part and Full Time

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are looking for experienced investigators based in Hampshire or the Isle of Wight willing to travel to locations including Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, or the Isle of Wight to be part of a professional and dedicated team carrying out a wide variety of investigations.

As a Police Staff Investigator (PSI), your duties will include statement taking, CCTV review, suspect interviewing, TICs, intelligence interviews, file building, disclosure declarations, and full Officer in Case (OIC) duties, including attending court and giving evidence.

You will also assist other investigators with case progression tasks such as disclosure reviews, redacting material, reviewing third-party data, and document scheduling.

Requirements include qualification to PIP2 or equivalent, proven investigatory experience, and knowledge of Criminal Law and Justice procedures.

This role suits experienced former Detective Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors, Police Staff Investigators, or Civilian Investigators seeking flexible work.

Successful applicants will undergo a six-day induction at Netley, outside Southampton, before joining their team.

Essential Qualifications

Qualified to PIP 2 or equivalent; experienced Detective or Police Constable, Sergeant, Inspector, or equivalent roles, including Civilian Investigator.
