Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Police Staff Investigator - PIP Level 2 to join the Nottinghamshire Police Force on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role is based in Nottinghamshire with a hybrid working option and a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Driving is required. You will lead investigations within the Public Protection - Children At Risk of Exploitation Team, interview victims and witnesses, gather intelligence, prepare files for court, and attend hearings.

Qualifications

• PIP Level 2 qualifications or equivalent investigatory experience.
• Strong understanding of the Criminal Justice System and legislation.
• Experience collecting data and conducting interviews.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with case-load management ability.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of criminal investigations and developing proportionate investigation plans.
• Interviewing victims and witnesses while ensuring compliance with the Victims Charter.
• Interviewing suspects in line with PACE Code C and E.
• Gathering and utilising intelligence effectively to enhance investigations.
• Preparing comprehensive case files for presentation in Magistrates and Crown Courts, adhering to deadlines and legislation.
• Attending court to provide evidence related to investigations.
• Representing the organisation in multi-agency meetings and case conferences.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

Location: Nottinghamshire

Annual Salary: £33,603 - £38,169 per annum

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week (some weekends maybe require with prior notice)

Driving Required: Yes

Vetting Level - Management - you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).

• PIP Level 2 qualifications or equivalent investigatory experience.
