Join Thames Valley Police as a Police Sergeant - Intelligence Supervisor - Field Intelligence Operations (SEROCU).

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sergeant to lead our intelligence team within SEROCU, focusing on serious and organised crime. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of intelligence development operatives, supervising covert operations, deploying surveillance and covert capabilities, and setting up intelligence cells as needed for surge capacity and resilience.

Candidate Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of the National Intelligence Model
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of RIPA, IPA, CPIA, and AP
  • Leadership skills and flexibility
  • Police Sergeant status with the potential to pass an NIE exam and PIP2 portfolio within 18 months
  • Full UK driving license
  • Resided in the UK for the past five years (exemptions may apply)
Training and Security

Upon appointment, candidates will work towards completing the Product Handler course and the Intelligence Professionalisation Program for Intelligence Accreditation. Security vetting to SC level is required, involving multiple checks.
