Role

purpose

  • To maximise the benefits of technological change that will enable force-wide transformational and cultural change.

  • To supervise and oversee the implementation of the GRS duties system.

  • To oversee the delivery of reformed processes incorporating GRS in line with "adopt not adapt" methodology.

  • To oversee collaboration with interdependent internal business areas.

  • To assist in formulating success measures and evaluating programme benefits/realisation.


  • Key Responsibilities:


    Supervise the programme delivery and develop strategies required for the implementation of GRS in South Yorkshire Police.


    To include:



  • Leading the establishment and ongoing development of the programme's business benefits.

  • Maintaining and implementing programme road maps and timelines to meet go-live dates.

  • Managing, scheduling, and executing all governance checkpoints and relevant boards.

  • Solve and unblock issues between teams and departments.

  • Monitoring and adjusting the Project Plan, and identifying impacts on business requirements or the business case.

  • Monitoring the programme's budget and adapting it according to requirements.

  • Defining and managing risk mitigation and issues escalation, and reporting on solutions.

  • Identifying dependencies in plans across services and coordinating delivery.

  • Challenging organisational processes linked to the duties system to maximise efficiencies.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into ICT solutions, ensuring value for money.

  • Developing and managing customer/supplier relationships.

  • Providing consultancy and support for the duties programme.

  • Working outside normal hours and traveling as required.

  • Regular in-person work at South Yorkshire Police Headquarters in Sheffield.

  • Essential Criteria


  • Knowledge of project planning and methodologies - PRINCE2/MSP Practitioner.

  • Experience of implementing SaaS Duty Management Systems.

  • Experience working in an IT solutions environment.

  • Experience managing project delivery at a senior level through full lifecycle.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

  • Ability to compile information into high-level reports.

  • Vetting to NPPV3 required.
