Job Title: Police National Systems Officer
Location:Middlemoor
Contract Length: 6 Months from Start Date
Hours: Full-Time

Are you ready to work on the front line of national policing intelligence? We are currently recruiting for a Police National Systems Officer to join a specialist team supporting law enforcement through analysis and interpretation of highly sensitive information.

This is a critical role, working with disturbing evidence related to distressing circumstances, including material linked to serious crimes and vulnerable individuals. The environment may involve verbal or physical conflict, and resilience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interrogate police national systems such as PNC and LEDS, identifying relevant and crucial data

  • Assess and handle disturbing and sensitive material with discretion and professionalism

  • Liaise with operational officers and external stakeholders, advising on system capabilities and best practice

  • Support investigations by interpreting data and presenting findings clearly and effectively

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of the criminal justice process

  • Understanding of Police National Computer (PNC) and Law Enforcement Data Services (LEDS)

  • Demonstrable attention to detail and ability to make effective decisions under pressure

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to write clearly and concisely

  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities, acting as a subject matter expert

  • Proficiency in interrogating IT systems and excellent keyboard skills

  • Awareness of sensitive data handling and relevant legislation governing system access and usage

  • Adaptable to regular procedural and system changes

Additional Information:
  • Applicants must complete an Enhanced Medical Questionnaire prior to appointment

  • Previous experience working with sensitive law enforcement data is highly desirable
