A public service police force in Wales is seeking a Lead Instructor to coordinate and conduct training for police dogs and their handlers. The ideal candidate will assess training methodologies, provide specialist advice, and ensure the ongoing development of police dogs. A strong background in dog training and handling is essential for this role, along with excellent communication skills. We are looking for a Lead Instructor to co-ordinate and conduct both the initial and continued training of police dogs and their handlers. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and welfare of police dogs by assessing the effectiveness of training methodologies, providing specialist advice and guidance, and supporting dog handlers. The Lead Instructor will identify and suggest improvements to practice ensuring the continued learning and development of police dogs and those working with them.
