Job summary

Dorset Police is recruiting via multiple entry routes to become a Police Constable. You will start as an officer from day one, engaging with communities and delivering an outstanding policing service across the force area.

Applicants may join through PCDA, DHEP, PPD or PCEP, with funded degree pathways and progression as you serve. The role includes supporting communities, training, and development opportunities within a supportive force structure.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
• Must have Level 3 UCAS points (minimum 32).
• Degree in any subject except Professional Policing.

Responsibilities

• Officer from day one, engaging with communities and delivering an outstanding policing service.
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to understand needs and concerns.
• Contribute to prevention and detection of crime as part of frontline policing.
