Job summary

Sussex Police is offering a Police Constable Apprenticeship Programme. You will be employed as an officer from day one while studying towards a Degree in Professional Policing Practice.

The three-year programme combines on- and off-the-job study, you’ll gain hands-on policing experience and complete the degree after a probation period, with a full-time salary of £34,326 including £2,070 South East Allowance.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE English at grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent.
• Must have one A Level grade A*-C and another subject A*-E or AS level.
• Minimum 48 UCAS points when combined.
• Level 3 qualification accepted (e.g. BTEC or equivalent).
• Work experience may be assessed against a Level 3 framework if no Level 3 qualification.
• Current serving Special Constable/PCSO within 18 months may be eligible.
• Armed forces service with exemplary references may be considered.
