Job summary

North Wales Police is seeking motivated individuals to become Police Constables through multiple entry routes including apprenticeship (3-year probation), degree entry (2-year probation), Professional Policing Degree (2-year), or the new Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) with 2-year probation.

Starting salary £31,164 rising to £50,256 by year 7, with a six-month training programme in St Asaph and extensive support throughout recruitment and development.

  • Strong communication and teamwork are essential for policing communities.

Police Entry Routes
  • If you would like to be paid to study for a degree and work you can join on the apprenticeship route, 3 year probation (PCDA)
  • If you have a degree you can join on the degree entry programme, 2 year probation (DHEP)
  • If you have a Professional Policing Degree you can join via this route, 2 year probation (PPD)
  • If you have no degree and no desire to study for a degree you can join our new Police Constable Entry Programme, 2 year probation (PCEP)
