Full Job Description - Polestar New Car Sales Manager

As Riverside Motor Group continues to grow, so do our opportunities. We are looking for a New Car Sales Manager for our Polestar Space in Sheffield. We offer full-time hours and competitive OTE. As New Car Sales Manager, you will lead and drive the performance of the new car sales department at our Polestar Space in Meadowhall. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong understanding of premium automotive retail, exceptional customer service focus, and a passion for electric mobility.

The Role – What you’ll be doing
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team to exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing Polestar Specialists and Transaction managers.
  • Monitor team performance and conduct regular reviews to support professional growth.
Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Drive new vehicle sales through strategic planning, customer engagement, and digital initiatives.
  • Ensure all leads (digital and in-person) are followed up promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local campaigns and brand activations.
Customer Experience
  • Deliver an exceptional and seamless customer journey, from enquiry to handover.
  • Ensure all team members embody Polestar brand values and uphold a premium experience.
  • Act as a key escalation point for customer queries and concerns.
Operational Excellence
  • Manage and optimise the end-to-end sales process, including pricing, financing, and delivery.
  • Oversee vehicle inventory, stock control, and allocation with supply chain teams.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR, and all relevant automotive retail regulations.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Monitor KPIs, lead conversion rates, and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market feedback to senior management.
  • Analyse trends to inform business planning and adapt strategies accordingly.
You’ll Do This By Having
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager within the premium or electric vehicle segment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Full UK driving licence (clean).
