The Post
This a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a newly funded national roll-out of Pharmacogenetics Point of Care Testing (POCT). The POCT market is increasing rapidly, offering new and innovative solutions to healthcare, this post will support the ANIA (Accelerated National Innovation Adoption) implementation of MT-RNR1 genetic testing at the point of care, for newborn babies < 28 days old.
To support the national roll-out, this post provides the opportunity to develop national clinical governance processes, to monitor all new MT-RNR1 testing services. To support the national roll-out, this post will involve travel to various health boards, interacting with various stakeholders.
The Candidate
Applications are invited from registered healthcare professionals to join the Point of Care Testing programme in NHS National Services Scotland. Experience of implementing POCT projects and quality management processes would be useful but is not essential.
This post provides an exciting and challenging opportunity for suitably experienced, qualified and motivated Healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.
Candidates must have current NMC/GMC/GDC/HCPC registration at the time of applying.
Location and Working Pattern:
This post will be based at Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working.
The work pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
