Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a podiatry support worker to assist podiatrists in clinics, including wound management and nail surgery, ensuring a calm and friendly environment for patients.

You will primarily cover central/north/east localities with potential additional site support. You will promote foot health, participate in audits, and develop professionally through supervision, CPD and funded training opportunities.

• Good standard of education including Maths and English.
• Level 2 qualification or relevant experience.

Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual to join our caring, progressive Podiatry team in Cornwall, passionate about providing clinical excellence. As a podiatry support worker your responsibilities will vary, assisting podiatrists in clinics, mainly in specialised care such as wound management and nail surgery. The role encompasses enabling the team to provide a calm, safe and friendly environment for patients.

This post will primarily covering central / north and east localities but support at other sites will be required.

The successful candidate will also help promote foot health advice to patients, carers, groups and other interested parties, and participate in audits of service standards.

You will work alongside experienced podiatrists and be encouraged in your own development. We offer clinical supervision, peer review and in-house CPD, plus further training opportunities supported via an individually allocated fund.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this post is to work as part of the Podiatry Team to provide general assistant tasks in accordance with Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust protocols and standards. These tasks may include:
