Job summary

ESNEFT's Podiatry Service is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker to join on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. You will work with podiatrists in clinics across Colchester, Clacton and Harwich and support home visits, with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle being essential.

You will assist with delegated clinical duties such as redressing and wound care while delivering compassionate patient care in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA, Healthcare Support Worker or Care Worker preferred.
• Comfortable working with patients and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willing to undertake delegated clinical duties following appropriate training.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues.
• Keen to develop knowledge in podiatry and wound care.

Responsibilities

• Support podiatrists in clinics and assist with delegated clinical duties, including redressing and wound care.
• Provide care to patients in home visits when required.
• Assist with patient preparation and clinic organisation.
• Communicate with patients, carers and colleagues and maintain high standards of patient care.

Our friendlyPodiatry Serviceis looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our team on afixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. You will work alongside our podiatrists, supporting patients in clinic and assisting with delegated clinical tasks, includingredressing and wound care. You will also have the opportunity to support our team duringhome visits, providing care to patients in their own homes. The role will involve working across our clinics in Colchester, Clacton and Harwich, as well as supporting home visits. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are therefore essential for this role. We are ideally looking for someone with previous experience as anHCA, Healthcare Support Worker or Care Workerwho is confident working with patients and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Previous general office experience
• Experience of working with confidential and sensitive information and data
• Experience of using Microsoft packages, Experience in health care as an assistant, Excellent numeracy and literacy
• Competent IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel, Knowledge of office administration and office equipment
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages, including diary management
• Understanding of patient needs and NHS
• Awareness of Health & Safety relevant to role
